26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

In the previous verses of John 10:5,10, 12-13, we see Jesus pointing out clearly to the Pharisees that they do not belong to His sheep fold because His true sheep knows Him, believes Him, hears His voice and follows Him.
This statement was repeated in verse 26. But in John 10 verse 27, our Savior made a profound statement about the state of His heart towards us, Jesus said My sheep listen to my voice; I know them. Brethren, the good news is that Jesus knows you by name, child of God. Nothing can be more joyful than that.
The apostle Paul threw more light on this when he wrote in 2 Timothy 2:19a, and Romans 8:16.
2 Timothy 2:19a “Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his.”
Romans 8:16, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
Our Heavenly Father knows each one that truly belongs to Him. These promises are made for all believers in Christ Jesus:
Assurance of Eternal Life: One of the blessings and benefits we all get from being followers of Christ and children of God, is the opportunity to spend life in eternity with Jesus and God the Father when life here on earth comes to an end. Jesus boldly declared and assured us in verse 28 that “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;”
There is Double Protection for All Believers (2b -29) “no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.”
All believers in Christ Jesus across the globe enjoy triple protection by the Most Powerful Forces in Heaven and on Earth (Our Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and Our Heavenly Father – Triune God). Can anything ever go wrong with this combination of protectors? Absolutely Not!
As we go out this week, my prayer is that we all commit and entrust our ways and cares unto the Hands of our Lord Jesus.
